MNIAL stands for my name is Alex L. and represents my DJ alter-ego.

My DJ profile goes back to high-school where I started a weekly radio-show covering 'classic' electronic dance music such as Orbital, Chemical Brothers & The Prodigy. As I developed my tastes further, the program slightly evolved into Jungle/DnB 'lessons' representing my minion artists like LTJ Bukem, Adam F, Goldie, etc. Later, when I discovered Photek, Teebee, Bad Company and suchlike... the program was closed, due to radio format unsuitability (lol), but fortunately it was too late 'couse I was already 'infected' :)

In college I continued my music explorations, focusing on atmo/techmo-spheric, drumfunk & leftfield in the first place (ASC, Paradox, Seba & (all!) Subvert Central affiliated artists & labels (too much to list)), while on the other hand, I found myself falling back for (my) old-school-break-beats & uk-rave-bass-lines (roots).

ATM I am still cutting on the edge of drum and bass, but more then ever before I am open to all 'contaminating' music out there; dub/break-step, (wonky) techno, idm & other 'viral' electronica, are just the tip of the iceberg I call 'audiovirus'.
P.S. Music isn't just a 'scene' or a 'hype'... Music is the art of thinking with sounds (c) and I'm crossovering it ;)
